About

Evdokiya Mazhurina is a cinematographer.

Born in St-Petersburg Russia, she moved to Montreal at an early age where she began making short films. After moving to Toronto, she pursued her passion in film.

Evdokiya studies at X University in the Film Studies BFA program where she has gained experience as a DP and a member of the camera department, as well as working on a multitude of feature films.

HOPE

…a Toronto Metropolitan Thesis Film that follows two sisters running from hunters to find “HOPE” in a wasteland occupied by hatred and ethnic cleansing


Evdokiya is the Cinematographer, taking on one of the most challenging Thesis Films of the Cohort. It will be presented at the Image Arts Film Festival in May 2023.

 

Image Arts Film Festival

…is the Toronto Metropolitan Film Festival led by students from the Film Studies program,.

Evdokiya is the Financial Director of IMAFF, navigating the budget and making the festival happen by sourcing funding opportunities.

The festival will present TMU Thesis films in May, many of which Evdokiya is working on in the camera department.
